INTERNET MOON NEWSLETTER, SPACE CALENDAR MADE PUBLIC TO SUPPORT NASA VISION FOR SPACE EXPLORATION

-- Space Age Publishing Company Opens Its Lunar Enterprise Daily and Space Calendar News Sites --

HAWAI‘I ISLAND / PALO ALTO, USA (March 3, 2006) – Lunar Enterprise Daily (LED) and Space Calendar, produced by Space Age Publishing Company (SPC) for several decades, are now available for the first time free of charge. The internet publications had previously been subscription only. SPC encourages everyone to visit the sites off of its homepage at www.spaceagepub.com.

Publisher and Editor Steve Durst says he decided to make the news publications public due to the increasing support for the NASA Vision for Space Exploration. “We felt we could do our part to help NASA, the international space agencies and private enterprise return humans to the Moon by helping to keep people informed of the most up-to-date lunar news, as well as provide them with a long-term perspective via the Space Calendar.” He says the sites will soon begin to offer advertising space.

In addition to comprehensive lunar news, the LED and its editors cover all aspects of space exploration, human spaceflight activity, including private sector efforts, astrophysics, analogs and other important missions. Now in a new and improved format, it’s still put on the web daily, except for Saturdays, by 12:00 HST the day before dateline so it is right on time in Asia, but a day ahead in the West, which is part of why its slogan is “Tomorrow’s News Today.”

Space Calendar maintains a weekly focus on important events and its “Downrange” section provides a solid two-to-three-year outlook on conferences, launches, and other space and astro-related activities. Its brand slogan, “The Best Space Calendar in the Business,” summarizes its standing as the longest-running and most comprehensive calendar for space-age news and events. Each publication has correspondents on all the world’s continents, particularly in China, India, Canada, Russia, Japan, Europe and the USA.

Anyone with questions or concerns should contact Durst and the editors at Space Age Publishing Company by visiting them on the Web at www.spaceagepub.com.
